MAKING SOD INSTALLATION EASIER: TURF SIZE MATTERS

Only New Brunswick Quality Turf (NBQT) offers New Brunswicker's the "one-fold" turf cut of nursery sod that is 16” x 48” (covers 5.29 square feet). Folded in ½ grass to grass this unique method of turf cut helps eliminate potential plant loss by allowing the grass to respire. Homeowners and landscapers over the years have continued to thank us for providing our sod in an easy to handle, easy to install form.

The ability to grab a piece of sod, manoeuvre, and lay it in place has distinct installation 

advantages. Grown in a sandy loam/high mineral/organic environment, our well rooted one-fold nursery sod allows ease in carrying & tucking the turf cut (piece) of sod in place. The result is far less fatigue on the installer and less chance for back injuries.

We recognize the importance of providing the consumer with a healthy plant. Sod is traditionally stacked on a pallet after harvest. At NBQT, we do our best to stack our ‘one-fold’ turf cuts on delivery day to limit risk to the grass plants. We always recommend our customers install the nursery sod soon after it arrives for optimum transplant success in their lawn project.

OUR HARVESTING AND STACKING TECHNIQUE

We stack 85 pieces of our one-fold Kentucky Bluegrass Sod neatly on 3’ x 4’ pallets (1 pallet of our sod covers 450 square feet of area). The flaps of our nursery sod are situated for ease of unpacking. New Brunswick Quality Turf (NBQT) is rich in nutrients to help ensure transplant success.
